Dr. Simon Widmaier
CEO & Co-founderDr. Simon Widmaier has a biophysics background and a PhD in molecular simulation from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In addition, he has founded multiple successful start-ups within the last 10 years, ranging from social business or industrial simulation software to miniaturized screening solutions for drug discovery and pharma research. Simon joined faCellitate in March 2020 as COO.
Dr. Sandra Segeletz
Director R&DDr. Sandra Segeletz is specialized in stem cell biology and received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from TU Dresden. Following her postdoctoral fellowship at the Max-Planck Institute in Dresden, she dedicated her career to developing advanced products for stem cell applications. In August 2024, she joined as Director of Research & Development at faCellitate.
Elina Nürnberg
Principal Staff ScientistElina holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences and the University of Heidelberg, where she specialized in 3D cell culture, stem cell biology, and microscopy. She joined faCellitate in October 2024 as a Principal Staff Scientist to support the R&D team. At faCellitate she combines her expertise in cell culture technologies and stem cell biology and contributes to the development of a new product line.
Hannah Helt
Research ScientistHannah Helt joined faCellitate in February 2022. She holds a master’s degree in molecular cell biology from the Technical University Kaiserslautern. At faCellitate she supports the R&D team as a lab scientist.
Dr. Sarah Al Muthafer
Principal Staff ScientistSarah Al Muthafer has a PhD in organic chemistry from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and studied chemical biology. She joined faCellitate in August 2023 as a principal staff scientist to support the R&D team. At faCellitate, Sarah will be working on the development of a new product line.
Annette Flory
Executive AssistantAnnette Flory completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and has many years of experience as an assistant to the management, making her familiar with many areas. She takes on office management and is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating administrative processes, such as accounting, purchasing, customer contact, and providing support for management.
Galyna Strilchuk
Digital Marketing ManagerGalyna Strilchuk joined faCellitate in July 2022 as a Digital Marketing Manager. She has a PhD in Physics and a background as a researcher and lecturer at T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Galyna has extensive experience in digital marketing and development of media strategies for different brands and products.
Tanja Schollmeier
Customer Experience ManagerTanja Schollmeier holds a master’s degree in marine biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a focus on Arctic ecology. She has extensive experience in biomarker analysis with emphasis on microalgae. With her additional background in communication, Tanja joined faCellitate in June 2021 as Customer Experience Manager. At faCellitate, Tanja is coordinating marketing campaigns and customer interactions.
