Refers to any process that utilizes complete living cells or their components (enzymes, bacteria, chloroplasts) to obtain a desired product.
BIOPOLYMERS
Biopolymers are natural polymers produced byliving cells. There are three main classes of biopolymers namely polynucleotides, polypeptides, and polysaccharides. These are classified according to the monomers they contain and to the structure of the resulting polymer.

In medical terms, benign refers to any agent or growing process that does not harm or threaten life. A benign tumor is a harmless clump of tumor cells, that does not harm the host organism or spread to other parts of the body.

A bioreactor is any manufactured device or system that supports a biologically active environment. In 3D cell culture, bioreactors are used to grow cells in suspension.
