faCellitate 2023: Cutting-edge Flat-Bottom microplates with Ultra-Low Adhesion Surface

BIOFLOAT™ Flat-Bottom Microplates for 3D Cell Culture

faCellitate expands its BIOFLOAT™ product range with a new flat-bottom microplate series. The first format is the BIOFLOAT™ 96-well flat-bottom microplate. In addition, 24-well and 6-well formats will follow soon.

This new series complements the existing BIOFLOAT™ 96-well and 384-well U-bottom plates. Therefore, researchers can choose the plate format that best fits their spheroid, organoid, or suspension cell culture workflow.

Improved Imaging with a Flat-Bottom Design

The BIOFLOAT™-coated flat-bottom microplate combines superior anti-adhesive properties with improved optical access. As a result, researchers can cultivate cells in 3D or in suspension, including T cells, while maintaining better imaging conditions than with U-bottom plates.

The crystal-clear well bottom supports convenient read-out with microscopes, scanners, and imaging systems.

Ultra-Low Attachment Surface for Spheroids and Organoids

The 96-well flat-bottom microplate features the BIOFLOAT™ Ultra-Low Attachment surface coating. This coating helps researchers form organoids or multiple spheroids in each well with an easy out-of-the-box workflow.

Moreover, BIOFLOAT™ plates follow the SLAS/ANSI standard. This makes them compatible with major high-throughput screening workflows and many common laboratory systems.

Scratch-Resistant BIOFLOAT™ Coating

BIOFLOAT™ coating is known for its high scratch resistance. Its unique polymeric structure forms an ultra-thin film on the plate surface. Consequently, the coating supports reliable performance and consistent data in laboratory applications.

Thanks to its anti-adhesive properties, BIOFLOAT™ has become a strong solution for rapid and uniform spheroid formation.
